The flavoured spirit is set to launch in April 2019 throughout all branches of Latin American Restaurant and Bar operators Las Iguanas.
Due to the continuing enthusiasm for gin across the consumer market, Las Iguanas have invested in creating a tropical gin that will secure residency across all 54 of their restaurants. The spirit, produced by Poetic License Distillery, delivers strong flavours on the palate including mango, soursop, grapefruit, coconut and lemon and will feature as a signature serve alongside their extensive cocktail menu.
Las Iguanas have made it very clear that while they recognise the success of the spirit, when launching their own gin they wanted to create a gin that would break the boundaries of the current market and deviate away from existing trends. The flavoured craft gin that has been developed and distilled by Poetic License Distillery is a bold tropical liquid with big flavours that derive from fruits native to the Americas and Caribbean.
Luke Neale, Head of Bar Operations & Beverage Development for Las Iguanas stated, ‘Poetic License are one of the most unique distilleries around and produce some really whacky but authentic flavours. We wanted a house gin that resonated with our brand and that our consumers could quickly relate back to us, and we knew Poetic License would be able to master this’.
Poetic License Distillery is renowned for producing innovative and eccentric tastes in the gin industry. Previous libations have included a Tutti Frutti gin, Sweet Bell Pepper and Naga Chili gin and Strawberry and Cream gin, which has been awarded gold in the Spirits Business awards.
Managing Director of Poetic License Distillery, Mark Hird, said ‘working with Las Iguanas is a really exciting venture for us, it gives us a prime opportunity to get creative and experiment with some big flavours, which is what Poetic License is all about.
‘Anybody who loves Las Iguanas food and drink is really going to be excited about this spirit. We’ve worked really hard to ensure this drink resonates with both Las Iguanas and Poetic License Distillery.’
The tropical spirit is the distillery’s newest invention and is set to launch through Las Iguanas in April 2019. It will be available to buy through the Poetic License Distillery website, at iguanas.co.uk and at all Las Iguanas restaurants.
